  • Coach Appointments

    Senior Club Coach

It is with great pleasure that the Preston Pirates Baseball Club can announce that Dean Marnell has been re-appointment as the senior head coach of our club.

Dean brings with him a wealth of on and off field experience both from national and international perspective. A past Preston player during our dominate mid to late 90’s during which time the club won back to back division one flags. He was also signed to a professional playing contract with the Colorado Rockies along with selection at state level and national level over many years.

A natural leader he will bring the best out of all the players which will see us move to the next level as a playing group. Having been a coach of a number of junior Australian sides he believes a club should have a strong junior program and see our junior program as one of the best.

    Junior Club Coach

It is with great pleasure we can announce that Alan Sutherland has been re-appointed as the junior head coach for the Preston Pirates.

This is a very important role for our club, it is a big commitment and one that Alan is looking forward to executing in his professional and dedicated manner. We have a great opportunity to grow our junior program even further with Alan Sutherland as head junior coach .
